Manchester United are prepared to offer more than Inter for Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the British newspaper the Express.
The report details how the Red Devils are leading in the race for the Chilean midfielder today, due to their increased financial capabilities. The English club are desperate for a creative outlet in midfield, especially considering the precarious position of Frenchman Paul Pogba, who seems destined to leave the club this year.
The report highlighted coach Antonio Conte’s refusal to talk about Vidal after the Nerazzurri’s draw against Atalanta last night, suggesting that the 50-year-old Italian wasn’t expecting the club to sign the Chilean midfielder anymore.
Vidal has made 21 appearances across all competitions so far this season for the Catalan club, scoring six goals and providing one assist in that time. He has only started four league games all campaign, which is one of the reasons he is keen to leave the club.
