Inter captain Samir Handanovic discussed last night’s draw against Atalanta in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia.
“The penalty save is always nice, it was important in the match because we knew that Atalanta are difficult to face. I think the result was the right one.”
He spoke about the difficulties the squad are currently going through.
“Surely, we have to improve when we are ahead, when you go ahead you have to manage the games differently, it’s something we have to work on.”
“This match shows that we need to improve further, I’m not adding anything else, I’m just complimenting Atalanta because it’s difficult to play against them.”
The Slovenian goalkeeper then touched on the best penalty taker he’s ever faced.
“There’s two or three. One of them is Perotti, the strong penalty takers are the ones who watch the goalkeeper to the last minute. Balotelli, Mendieta, Jorginho also come to mind.”
Finally, Handanovic spoke about what he and Atalanta striker Luis Muriel talked about after the game.
“He told me that he saw me start to move and that he kicked it there, then again at the end of the game they say a lot of rubbish!”
