Inter’s draw against Atalanta last night showed why the squad needs to sign reinforcements this month, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.
The report details how the current Nerazzurri squad only has enough steam for a strong 45 minutes, with the players clearly looking tired in the second half. The lack of viable alternatives for coach Antonio Conte has forced him to deploy the same set of players for the last three months, putting a strain on the whole squad.
Therefore, the report continues, replacing players like midfielder Borja Valero and forward Matteo Politano with more exciting and suitable players, better fit for Conte’s system, is vital if the Milanese club are to continue their fight against Juventus for the league title this season.
If Conte has the ability to rotate the squad more effectively or substitute on a more dangerous threat then the Nerazzurri can easily fight for the league title until the end.
