Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici discussed the title race this season ahead of the Bianconeri’s league clash against Roma earlier tonight in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia.
“The race for the Scudetto is complicated and also includes Lazio, who are doing well and are strong, they showed that against us. Inter have already bought many great players this summer, Lukaku, Barella, Sensi, Sanchez. They’ve already made important investments, if more come along, we won’t be surprised.”
The Nerazzurri are currently second in the league table after 19 games, two points behind rivals and reigning champions Juventus. The Bianconeri beat the Nerazzurri in the first Derby d’Italia of the season in October of last year, meaning the next meeting between the two sides could prove decisive in the title race.
Lazio have recently cropped up as a potential dark horse in the title race, owing to their incredibly strong form under coach Simone Inzaghi.
