Inter target Christian Eriksen’s agent, Martin Schoots, left Italy yesterday after a successful set of discussions with the Nerazzurri regarding a deal for the player, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

The report details how Schoots and the Nerazzurri reached an agreement regarding the player’s contract – a four-year contract worth €10 million net per season.

Inter’s offer has been considered the best among those received so far by Eriksen’s entourage, and now Schoots will meet with Eriksen to fully take stock of the current situation.

Tottenham are pushing for a sale of Eriksen this month, the report highlights, as the club would prefer to earn some compensation from his departure, rather than just losing him on a free transfer this summer.

Schoots could return to Italy as early as this week, with Inter looking to finalise the agreements as soon as possible due to their wishes of deploying the player as soon as possible.
