Inter will meet with Chelsea this week in order to fully finalise the Olivier Giroud deal, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews today.

The report details how the 33-year-old French striker has reached an agreement with the Nerazzurri. The player turned down offers from the MLS, China and French side Lyon in order to join the Nerazzurri, due to his desire to work with coach Antonio Conte.

The agreement he reached with Inter is worth €4 million net from now until June, followed by a two-year deal worth €4 million net plus bonuses.

The only thing missing now is an agreement on the compensation fee, the report highlights. Chelsea want at least €7-8 million for Giroud’s signature, whereas the Nerazzurri are hoping to pay €5 million for the player.

Due to the tiny difference between offer and asking price, the two clubs will meet this coming week in order to fully finalize the deal.
