Inter manager Antonio Conte and Inter’s owners Suning have the shared goal of wanting to win the Coppa Italia according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Conte won the Coppa Italia once as a player but the trophy has eluded him during his career in management whilst Suning are still on the look-out for a first trophy under their leadership.

Inter begin their 2019/20 Coppa Italia campaign tonight as they take on fellow Serie A club Cagliari at the last 16 stage of the competition.

The winner of this evening’s match, which is expected to be attended by around 25,000, will face either Fiorentina or Atalanta at the quarter final stage.

Potential opponents in the semi-final are Napoli, Perugia, Lazio and Cremonese whilst potential opponents in the final include AC Milan, SPAL, Torino, Roma, Parma, Juventus and Udinese.

Tonight’s match at San Siro is scheduled to kick-off at 20:45 local time.
