Inter and Roma could conclude a swap deal that would see Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola exchanged in the coming hours according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
Politano had looked set to join AC Milan in a swap deal that would have seen Franck Kessie head in the opposite direction but following Nicolo Zaniolo’s injury that will keep him out for the remainder of the season, Roma moved very quickly to try and sign up Politano.
Inter and Roma just need to define some details and need to decide whether or not to include an obligation to buy as part of the loans.
The report goes on to state that Kessie could however still end up at Inter but Inter wish to see what will happen with Arturo Vidal. As per the report, the chances of Vidal now arriving at Inter are minimal following their change of manager.
If it is confirmed that Vidal will be going nowhere, Inter could turn their attention toward Kessie. In the past there had been talk of a possible swap involving Roberto Gagliardini but that could be an option again or a swap involving Matias Vecino could take place.
