Inter are closing in on the signing of Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur according to a report in today’s print edition of La Repubblica.

Eriksen’s signing is not the only one that the Nerazzurri are close to with them also close to striking a deal with Chelsea over the transfer of striker Olivier Giroud.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that with regards to Inter’s pursuit of Arturo Vidal, it all depends on what newly appointed manager Quique Setien’s plans are.

Vidal has made it clear in recent weeks and months that he wants out of Barcelona and has seemingly promised himself to Inter manager Antonio Conte.

It remains to be seen if Setien, who has succeeded Ernesto Valverde, will be able to change the 32-year-old Chilean international’s mind and convince him to stay with the reigning Spanish champions, at least until the end of the 2019/20 season.
