Inter could complete the signing of Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur in the coming days according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 27-year-old Danish international has accepted the contract Inter extended to him and now Inter are trying to strike a deal with Spurs over his transfer this month.

Spurs are understood to be wanting €20 million for the playmaker but Inter do not wish to spend any more than €10 million due to the fact they could wait a matter of weeks and pick him up on a free transfer once his contract expires.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that the player’s agent Martin Schoots is hard at work trying to get the deal completed as soon as possible.

Inter are relaxed and confident about their chances of signing the former Ajax man and it is very much possible that there could be a meeting in London today between club officials that could see a deal agreed upon.
