In an interview with Inter’s in-house channel Inter TV, Andrea Ranocchia shared his joy after scoring in Inter’s 4-1 Coppa Italia win over Cagliari on Tuesday night at San Siro.

Ranocchia’s header 10 minutes from the end of the game put the game absolutely out of reach of the visiting Rossoblu, who were comfortably beaten as Romelu Lukaku and Borja Valero also got on the scoresheet.

“I am very happy. Getting into the next round of the competition was the main goal for us and I am happy with my performance. The goal was the icing on the cake for me as scoring goals is always nice,” he explained.

“Now we have to think about the league again. We are working a lot, especially those of us who do not play as much but are ready.

He concluded the interview: “As I said, I am happy with my performance as well as the performances the other buys put in. Reaching the final of the Coppa Italia and winning it would be a dream come true.”
