Speaking in an interview with Italian broadcaster Rai Sport, Inter midfielder Borja Valero has sung the praises of manager Antonio Conte.
“Conte is very big on the physical side of the game and you can see it on the pitch that the work pays off. We have been working a lot since July. I can’t tell you what is special about Conte, but he does his best and gives us the desire to not even give up an inch,” he said.
“It is a very great feeling having been able to convince him to play me more. I convinced him and his staff little by little and I hope things will continue like this.”
He was then asked about the transfer market and possible reinforcements arriving.
“Anyone who comes to help is welcome, in any position. We will see what happens. We are thinking only about getting results. On the tactical level we are very prepared, and this makes all of us get better.”
He concluded: “We work a lot on the physical side as I said before and I think we are one step above all the other teams in this regard.”
