Inter management are at work trying to sell two players that will enable more funds to be made available to manager Antonio Conte according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The sale of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa to Brazilian champions Flamengo is on the verge of completion. Inter and Flamengo agreed a deal in principle worth €18 million for the 23-year-old striker back in August but a new slightly higher fee could be agreed upon given what he achieved with them since then such as winning the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and the Copa Libertadores.

The club are also trying to offload central midfielder Matias Vecino. The Uruguayan is no longer considered as part of the clubs plans and Inter are seeking offers for him.

Inter had tried to include Vecino as a makeweight in a deal for transfer target Christian Eriksen but his inclusion seemingly did not convince Tottenham Hotspur. AC Milan have also been linked with a move for the former Fiorentina man.
