Inter and Chelsea have struck an agreement over the transfer of striker Olivier Giroud according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The two clubs have agreed upon a €4.5 million fee plus bonuses for the 33-year-old Frenchman who will undergo a medical with Inter over the weekend.

The 2018 World Cup winner will join Inter on a two and a half year deal from the Premier League outfit, who he has represented since January 2018.

Giroud’s contract with the blues was due to expire at the end of this season but Inter manager Antonio Conte was desperate for the former Arsenal man to be brought in this month so his attacking department could be bolstered for the second half of the season.

This term Giroud, has been limited to just seven appearances across all competitions to date, three of which have come as a starter. In 282 minutes on the park, Giroud has scored a single goal.
