Matias Vecino wishes to leave Inter during this transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere della Sera.

Inter’s management are at work trying to find a move for the Uruguayan international central midfielder, who has been with the club since the Summer of 2017.

The 28-year-old, who can count Fiorentina, Empoli and Cagliari among his former clubs, could well find himself headed to Tottenham Hotspur.

Inter are working to sign Christian Eriksen on a free transfer but could sign him this month. Spurs are understood to want €20 million but Inter are only willing to spend around half of that. Therefore, Vecino could be included in any deal as a makeweight.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that he could even remain in Milan by moving to Inter’s city rivals AC Milan as part of a swap deal that would see Franck Kessie head in the opposite direction.
