Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has revealed how he would like to see Christian Eriksen leave the club if he decides to do so this month.

“He played very well and was very professional which is what I expect of him. If his decision is to leave, I think he has to leave with his head held high,” Mourinho remarked in his post-match press conference after Spurs 2-1 win over Middlesbrough.

Eriksen has drawn very strong links with a move to Inter with reports stating Inter have tabled him a contract offer and even made an offer to Spurs.

Some reports have went so far as to say the 27-year-old Danish playmaker has accepted Inter’s contract offer and is wanting to join the Nerazzurri immediately, rather than see out the remaining six months on his contract with Spurs.

This season Eriksen has made 25 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored three goals and provided as many assists.
