Radja Nainggolan spoke to the gathered media in the mixed zone on his time with Inter following his current employers Cagliari’s 4-1 loss at San Siro in the Coppa Italia.

“Inter are doing fine, as am I. We will see what will happen. I am only concentrated on Cagliari and feel I am having an important season for them. I am happy with what Inter are doing though,” he started.

“Do I have any regrets? I am convinced about my ability but the club leaders made a choice and I accepted it. I am a man and do not stand there crying when I am told they do not want me. I want to play and keep having fun, it was a mutual decision.

“I never had any problems with Antonio Conte, he always said things to my face and I always said what I thought to him. We are men, when things are said face to face I appreciate it. He was a man with me but you cannot say the same about others but that is life for you.”

He then went on to reflect on the game.

“When you concede after just 20 seconds, it is difficult. We are not Inter, Juventus or Lazio. We are doing important things but we cannot possibly think about winning all of our matches.”

He was then asked if he would celebrate had he scored during the game.

“I would not have celebrated. I have many friends at the club and I had a good relationship with everyone. At the end some of us had a laugh together. I never made any problems in the Inter dressing room. My ex-teammates and I both know this.”

In conclusion, he was asked if Inter can go all the way and win the Serie A title: “I always cheer for my teammates, if Inter wins then Juve doesn’t win so I would be happy.”
