Arturo Vidal will not be allowed to leave Barcelona during the remainder of this transfer window according to a report from Spanish newspaper Sport.
Newly appointed Quique Setien has told club leaders that he does not wish for any of the players he has inherited to be sold meaning Vidal will have to settle for staying put with the Blaugrana at least until the Summer transfer window.
The 32-year-old Chilean international has drawn very strong links with a move to Inter with some reports suggesting he has even promised Inter manager Antonio Conte that he will join them. For the time being anyway, former Juventus man Vidal will have to hang tight.
A deal for Vidal has looked complicated for some time anyway and it is for this reason that Inter have been working to try and sign 27-year-old Danish international playmaker Christian Eriksen from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.
