It is only a matter of time before Inter sign Danish international Christian Eriksen from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported on air moments ago.

According to the report, earlier tonight Inter CEO Beppe Marotta had a dinner with Eriksen’s agent Martin Shoots, as the Nerazzurri have agreed terms with the player, which will see him earn €8 million net with €2 million in easily attained bonuses net per season until the end of June 2024.

What remains now is to try and reach an agreement with Tottenham over the transfer fee with Spurs asking for €20 million, a sum the Nerazzurri do not intend to pay. Inter’s latest offer is €12 million with add-ons, an increase from €10 million yesterday.

Therefore, according to Di Marzio intermediaries are busy working on trying to find a middle ground that both clubs are happy with.

Finally, Di Marzio underlined on air that he thinks this transfer will be concluded given that the player has embraced a move to Milan and Inter and therefore it is only a matter of time before the deal will be brought over the finish line.
