Inter and Roma’s proposed swap deal involving Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola is currently hanging in the balance according to a report from Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The two clubs are in constant contact trying to find a solution to a deal that looked destined to be completed just yesterday.

Italian international full back Spinazzola did not complete his full medical yesterday as Inter wished to put him through some further physical tests due to seemingly having some concerns about his past injury history. However, these tests have not taken place today.

The report from Di Marzio goes on to stress that Roma will not change the agreement they have already reached with Inter. If Inter try and change the foundations of the deal, in all likelihood the exchange between the two clubs will not happen. The Giallorossi will only accept a straight up swap or loan swap with obligation to buy attached swap deal.
