The proposed swap deal between Inter and Roma involving Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola is on the verge of completely collapsing according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

As per their report, Inter wanted to take extra caution with Spinazzola’s medical due to his injury history and had asked Roma to allow them to carry out further tests but the Giallorossi clubs refused the Nerazzurri’s request.

Due to Inter having some concerns, they also tried to switch the transfer formula from loan with obligation to buy to loan with option to buy, something that has completely infuriated Roma.

Roma have made it clear that they will only let Spinazzola go if the transfer formula remains the same and if he is subjected to no more testing. It now remains to be seen if Inter will settle for these terms or if the swap deal will just collapse, which, at the moment seems highly likely.
