Lazio wish to take Inter midfielder Matias Vecino on loan according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Rome based club are keen on bringing the Uruguayan to the club on loan for the remainder of the 2019/20 season with an option to buy attached but Inter have other ideas.

As per the report, Inter want to sell the 28-year-old former Fiorentina player outright this month and are looking for around €20 million for him.

The reason for this is because the funds raised through his sale would help them in their pursuits of Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen and Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud.

This season Vecino, who joined the club back in 2017 in a circa €20 million deal, has made 17 appearances across all competitions.

In 1136 minutes, Vecino, who is under contract until the end of the 2021/22 season, has scored twice and provided a single assist for his Nerazzurri teammates.
