Inter and Roma’s swap deal that would see Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola could be set to collapse according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The two clubs had reached an agreement over a loan swap with both clubs having an obligation to buy however, Inter have concerns about Spinazzola and his injury history.

For this reason, Inter are trying to change the terms of the agreement so there is no obligation to buy attached and this is understood to have infuriated Roma.

With a cloud of doubt hovering above this deal, the report goes on to state that Inter have reignited their interest in signing Manchester United’s Ashley Young.

Inter are believed to have offered terms and had them accepted by Young prior to moving for Spinazzola and they have been back in touch with his agent regarding a move to the club.

Young has agreed to an 18 month contract with Inter but Inter still need to try and strike a deal with Manchester United.
