In an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, legendary Italian football manager Fabio Capello has shared his views on Ashley Young’s arrival at Inter from Manchester United.

“Young used to play on the left wing and was moved into a deeper left-back role, but he’s ideal playing on the left with a three man defence,” the former AC Milan manager began.

“He is good with both of his feet, has good vision, runs hard and is not all that bad defensively. Plus he is very focused and always available. I think he is ideal for Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 formation.”

Capello proceeded to discuss Inter’s move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen which looks close to completion.

“Eriksen is a player of immense quality. He provides assists and scores goals, but above all has this unique vision of the game. I suggested him to Tottenham at the time and the deal went through.”
