Former Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi spoke about Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella, the league title and Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I remember when I was working at Coverciano. Few people appreciated Barella. They said he had only grit. No, he has values, heart. He was already a complete player. Technique always improves with work.”

The 73-year-old Italian then spoke about the league this season.

“Uncertain league. But uncertainty doesn’t necessarily mean beauty, it’s just uncertain, for now.”

Sacchi then touched on whether Inter target Christian Eriksen could change the squad.

“No player can change a team, otherwise Maradona would have won the Champions’ Cup.”

Inter are currently second in the league table after 19 games, two points behind rivals and reigning champions Juventus. The Nerazzurri have been trying to sign Danish midfielder Eriksen for a few weeks now, with coach Antonio Conte appreciating the player’s qualities.
