Inter are looking apprehensively at a potential deal between Barcelona and Juventus, according to a report in today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Repubblica.

The report details how the Blaugrana are considering offering Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic to the Bianconeri in exchange for Juventus forward Federico Bernardeschi, who is failing to impress coach Maurizio Sarri. The Nerazzurri have long been interested in the 31-year-old Croatian, who has struggled with the Catalan club this season.

Considering that Juventus have already signed previous Inter target Dejan Kulusevski, the report continues, the Nerazzurri are worried that the Turin based club are continuing to strengthen their midfield with the same targets. The Bianconeri are also interested in Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, but currently it appears that Inter are far ahead in the race to sign the 27-year-old Dane.

Bernardeschi has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season for the Turin based club, scoring one goal and providing one assist in his 1018 minutes on the pitch.
