Inter striker Matteo Politano returned to Milan last night and was present today with the rest of the squad at training, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia.

The report details how the 26-year-old Italian, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, was excited to sign for Roma. He was sent by Inter to join the Giallorossi on a loan deal with Leonardo Spinazzola moving the other way, but the deal collapsed due to complications.

Politano, who is not likely to play against Lecce tomorrow, trained normally with his teammates today in Appiano Gentile, the report highlights. The 26-year-old Italian has made 15 appearances across all competitions for a total of 315 minutes.

Due to his limited playing time, the player has failed to score a goal or provide an assist. Politano seems destined to leave the club this month, with the Nerazzurri looking for new forwards on the market, such as Olivier Giroud or Fernando Llorente.
