New arrival Ashley Young will be in the Inter squad for tomorrow’s league clash against Lecce, but is unlikely to start, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 34-year-old Englishman has joined training with the Nerazzurri squad in Appiano Gentile today, his first training session under coach Antonio Conte. He is fully ready to play in tomorrow’s game against Lecce but is unlikely to start due to the fact that he will need some time to adapt to Conte’s tactical system.

Young played his last game at the end of December, a full 90 minutes against Burnley, the report highlights. The player was wanted by Conte due to Kwadwo Asamoah’s poor physical condition and the lack of alternative to Cristiano Biraghi. Young provides Conte with another experienced option, a player who has history winning important games and competitions.
