It is unlikely that Inter’s negotiations with Tottenham regarding Christian Eriksen will collapse now, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia.

The report details how the 27-year-old Dane is incredibly keen to join the Nerazzurri, in part due to his desire to work with coach Antonio Conte and partly due to his belief in the Milanese club’s project. It’s difficult to make a player of this level change his mind now, especially considering how unhappy he is still at Spurs.

Tuesday will be a crucial day in the negotiations, the report highlights. The Dane’s agent will return to London to present Inter’s offer, which is slowly approaching Spurs’ requested price.

Inter have offered €15 million for Eriksen, the report adds, €5 million below the fee requested by the North London club. His contract expires with the club in June, so if they refuse the offer, they will have to look to sell him quickly before the month ends.
