Italian football agent Giovanni Branchini has shared his thoughts on the proposed swap deal between Inter and Roma involving Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola collapsing in the past few days.
“It is difficult for everyone to be happy because something unexpected happened. It should certainly take a little more to happen before taking pictures with the scarves,” he explained in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Rai.
“Will the deal still take place? No I do not think it will anymore. It is clear that something must have happened that we could not have imagined. I do not think there is a sensational medical reason to prevent the transfer. Certainly it could be said more caution and attention was needed.”
He concluded the interview: “I am sure the two players are not happy with what happened, even if one of them did play yesterday. This was something that could have been avoided.”
