Matteo Politano could still end up joining Roma between now and the end of the transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Politano had looked set to join the Giallorossi club just a few days ago as part of a swap deal that would have seen Leonardo Spinazzola head to Inter but that deal collapsed as Inter tried to change the terms at the last minute.

The winger is understood to have been very upset upon learning the move has collapsed but could arrive in the Italian capital in a loan with option to buy deal.

Politano joined Inter this past Summer from Sassuolo on a permanent basis following a successful loan spell in the 2018/19 season but has found playing time hard to come by.

The 26-year-old has made 15 appearances across all competitions but just two of those appearances have come as a starter and he has been on the pitch for just 315 minutes in total.
