Newcastle United and RB Leipzig are vying for Inter defender Valentino Lazaro according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The arrivals of Ashley Young and Victor Moses have forced Lazaro, who only joined Inter six months ago in a circa €20 million deal from Hertha Berlin, out of the club.

As per the report, the 23-year-old Austrian international wing back is understood to prefer the idea of a move to Leipzig over Newcastle due to his previous good experience playing in Germany. Both clubs are considering loan with option to buy moves for him with the option to buy being set at €20 million.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to add that as of yet, no good offers have arrived on the table for midfielder Matias Vecino whilst SPAL have joined Parma in being interested in loaning Inter teen sensation Sebastiano Esposito.
