Inter are working on a deal to bring in Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong on a free transfer at the end of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio had several meetings yesterday with agents and other clubs and Chong’s agent Mohamed Sinouh was one of them.

The 20-year-old Dutchman’s contract with United is due to expire at the end of this season and Inter are one of a number of clubs to have taken an interest in signing him.

Chong’s demands relating to personal terms and his agent’s demands when it comes to commission are believed to be high although the report does not specify exactly what they are seeking.

This season Chong has made eight appearances at first team level. In 330 minutes on the field, the former Feyenoord man has failed to make any goal contributions.
