Olivier Giroud’s agent is awaiting a call from Inter to finalise his client’s transfer to them according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The last contact Inter made with Michael Manuello came on Tuesday and further contact is expected to be made just shortly after Inter struck a deal with Napoli over the transfer of Matteo Politano, a move that was required before Inter could conclude a deal for the French international.

Inter have already agreed terms with both Chelsea and the player himself and once Politano’s exit from the club is confirmed, Inter will pull the trigger on the 33-year-old, who will come in as a back-up option to club record signing Romelu Lukaku.

Giroud has agreed to a two and a half year contract with Inter and will earn a total of €12 million in wages over the duration of his contract.

Inter will meanwhile pay Chelsea €5 million upfront for the former Arsenal man and a further €1.5 million in bonuses later down the line.
