Inter could look to sign another midfielder if Matias Vecino is sold over the next week, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how there has been a breakdown in the relationship between the 28-year-old Uruguayan midfielder and coach Antonio Conte, so much so that the former Fiorentina midfielder may push for a move away from the club this month, even if currently the only club to make a serious offer for him is Premier League side Everton.

Inter want to reinvest the money earnt from his sale back into the club, the report continues. If Vecino is sold, Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio will begin searching for a replacement. This is because it’s now impossible to get Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal, Napoli’s Allan or AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie. Udinese talisman Rodrigo De Paul is too expensive and currently there are no negotiations in place for Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic.
