In an interview with Italian radio station Radio 24 show ‘Tutto Convocati’, former Inter defender Massimo Paganin has shared his thoughts on Inter’s recent struggles following their fourth draw in six Serie A matches.

Inter took a 1-0 lead through Lautaro Martinez against Cagliari and had plenty opportunities to put the game beyond doubt but failed to do so before Radja Nainggolan brought the teams back level.

“The Nerazzurri team must grow but the past two games cannot cancel out all the good that has been done so far. Antonio Conte will have to find counters to teams who have been studying him a lot in recent months and found out ways to limit how Inter play.”

He also spoke on the seemingly imminent arrival of Christian Eriksen at Inter.

“He has different characteristics compared to those Inter already have. We will see if Conte will go for a four man midfield with one player [Eriksen] closer to the strikers or if he will stick with the 3-5-2.”
