Former Sporting Director Gianluca Nani discussed Inter’s transfer market and purchases from England in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Sportiva yesterday.

“The results are proving the Nerazzurri right after they bet on Lukaku this summer. The Belgian is doing very well. Conte has worked in the Premier League, he knows what the players coming in from that league can give. The players who come from the English league are universal, they can play in any country. Inter are right to insist on that front and Juventus also drew from the Premier League last summer.”

Nani touched on Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen.

“He can only play mezzala in a 3-5-2. He could also line up as central midfielder, but his strong point is the number 10 role. Better as an attacking midfielder.”

He then spoke about the gaps between Inter and Juventus.

“I think the gaps have closed, they weren’t too big before January. I wouldn’t be surprised if either Inter or Juventus won. Lazio are deserving that position in the league table but Inter and Juventus, for their squad and their habit of winning, are a bit ahead of the Biancocelesti.”

Finally, Nani discussed Victor Moses.

“No one knows him better than Conte. He was born as a winger, then with Conte he became a wing back. He can do the full back role very well, he has a great aerobic ability. The Inter coach knows him very well.”
