Italian journalist Fabio Caressa discussed the current situation of Inter owned striker Andrea Pinamonti, following the end of Genoa’s league clash against Fiorentina earlier today, in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Deejay.

“He was already agreed to leave Genoa, but there was a bureaucratic problem between Inter and Genoa. If he left, however, there would have been a significant financial loss. Pinamonti is blocked by this. Andrea disappointed me, I expected more.”

The 20-year-old Italian striker has struggled on loan with the Ligurian club so far this season. Pinamonti has made 18 appearances across all competitions for a total of 1335 minutes but has only managed to hit the back of the net four times, providing three assists in that time as well.

The player is considered unneeded for the future by new coach Davide Nicola. Last season he scored five times whilst on loan with Frosinone, providing three assists in that time.
