Former Inter defender Francesco ‘Ciccio’ Colonnese has revealed why he thinks Inter manager Antonio Conte has had yet another outburst.

Following the defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League a few months back, Conte blew his top post-match and did the same on Sunday when he confronted referee Gianluca Manganiello post-match.

“He wants to control everything, from the management of games to what goes on in the transfer market. His outburst are the result of being a perfectionist,” he said in an interview with Italian radio station TMW Radio.

Colonnese, who spent three years with Inter between 1997 and 2000, then went on to add: “Honestly the numbers say that this is another Inter. Marotta knows that with Conte in charge, the league can be won. Conte’s way of criticising everything and always giving the team adrenaline is questionable, but he must be in control. He also knows that this team can win.”
