In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, Inter legend Sandro Mazzola has shared his views on Inter’s signing of Christian Eriksen.

“Eriksen is a great signing for Inter. He is someone who can give the team unpredictability. It was right to sign him now, he will immediately understand our football and integrate quickly,” he said.

Next he spoke on Inter’s recent form in the league which has seen them draw four of their last six matches.

“It is difficult to understand. Sometimes Inter make great starts in the first or second half but then the team ends up lost and in my opinion it is more of a physical problem than a mental problem.

“The manager has to work on this, just like Helenio Herrera did. When things don’t go as they should go, you risk getting nervous and losing. Again the manager has to work on it.”

He was then asked what he thinks Inter’s chance of winning the Serie A title are.

“They must believe they can do it and do everything. The Nerazzurri must try and think they can do it.”

Next he spoke on Matias Vecino, who looks set to depart Inter by the end of the transfer window.

“I wouldn’t let him go, I would make the manager work on his mentality and keep him.”
