Inter and Flamengo could strike a deal over Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa in the coming hours according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Only some final details need to be ironed out before the two clubs can come to an agreement over the 23-year-old striker.

The clubs have already agreed on an €18 million transfer fee for the Brazilian international forward and as part of the deal, Inter will have a clause which entitles them to 20% of a future sale.

There are no more face-to-face meetings planned between the clubs which would suggest that the final details can be sorted out over the phone.

In the event that there are problems, the Flamengo officials currently in Milan, will again meet with Inter management at the Nerazzurri’s club headquarters however there is great optimism that a deal can be agreed upon and no further meetings will be required.

Gabigol spent 2019 on loan with Flamengo and scored an impressive 43 goals in 58 appearances for them. As per other reports in the media, he has already agreed personal terms with the Rio de Janeiro based club.
