Inter manager Antonio Conte could be spared from being banned for his conduct at the end of Inter’s 1-1 draw with Cagliari on Sunday afternoon according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Following the full time whistle, Conte, alongside several players and members of the coaching staff, stormed referee Gianluca Manganiello to protest about the decisions he made during the game, especially the one right at the end which saw him send off Lautaro Martinez.

Conte, as per the report, could be slapped with a fine, rather than a ban and if this is the case, he will be in the dugout for Inter’s match away to Udinese this coming weekend.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to detail that Lautaro Martinez will be banned for at least two matches although it could be stretched to a three match ban.

The Argentine international was sent off after seemingly saying something inappropriate toward Manganiello and proceeded to lose his cool and needed to be restrained by some teammates before walking off the field.
