In today’s print edition, Corriere dello Sport have revealed the details of Matteo Politano’s imminent transfer to Napoli from Inter.

The 26-year-old Italian international winger is set to join the Stadio San Paolo club on a loan with obligation to buy deal.

Napoli will pay Inter €2 million to loan the former Sassuolo player and will pay them a further €19 million – which will be paid in multiple instalments – to sign him up on a permanent basis at the end of the loan.

Inter could also earn a further €2 million in bonuses. Whilst not easy to achieve, they are also not impossible for Politano to achieve at his soon to be new employers.

The report from the Roman based newspaper has also revealed the details of the contract that the former Roma academy player will sign with the Partenopei.

Politano will sign a contract with them until the end of the 2023/24 season. He will earn €2.2 million a year.
