Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez will return to the club this Summer.

The Chilean international joined Inter on a season long loan from the Premier League outfit this past Summer but it looks like Inter will have no chance of extending his stay with the club past the end of the season if they want to going by Solskjaer’s comments.

United were desperate to offload the former Barcelona attacker in the Summer after he flopped tremendously following his arrival from fellow Premier league club Arsenal back in the 2018 January transfer window but they would now appear willing to give Sanchez another chance to prove himself at Old Trafford.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference earlier on today ahead of their League Cup tie with Manchester City, Solskjaer said: “Alexis will come back in the summer and prove you all wrong.”

Since joining Inter, Sanchez has made seven appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored a single goal and provided a single assist for his Nerazzurri teammates.
