Speaking in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia earlier on today, Italian football journalist Matteo Marani has commented on Inter’s signing of Christian Eriksen.

Inter announced the signing of Eriksen on a four and a half year contract from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon, much to the excitement of Nerazzurri fans around the globe.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has become Inter’s third signing of the January transfer window having followed Ashley Young and Victor Moses in joining the Nerazzurri club.

Marani was full of praise for the former Ajax play maker but also shared his belief that Eriksen’s arrival at the club makes things difficult for Inter manager Antonio Conte, despite the fact his arrival should really make things easier for him.

“Inter’s latest signing Christian Eriksen was the best passer in the entire Premier League. He is a great player. It is clear that the challenge is now more difficult for Conte as he is forced to play him due to the effort made by the club to sign him, the expectations legitimately increase,” he said.

This season Eriksen has made 28 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored three goals and provided as many assists. He could make his Inter debut tomorrow against Fiorentina.
