Inter have just released a statement announcing the signing of Danish international midfielder Christian Eriksen from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspurs.

According to the announcement, Erikse will join the Nerazzurri on a 4,5 year contract that will keep him tied to the club until the end of June 2024.

No transfer fee has been revealed but according to several sources in Italy, Inter have paid Tottenham €20 million in total between transfer fees and add-ons, to secure the services of the former Ajax man.

Christian Eriksen’s contract with Tottenham Hotspur’s was due to expire at the end of June 2020 but the Nerazzurri wanted to add him to the fold for the second half of the season and so they negotiated a deal with Spurs for this month.

Christian Eriksen joined Tottenham from Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax ahead of the 2013/2014 season for a reported fee between £11 million and has since then featured 303 times across all competitions scoring 69 goals in the process.
