Manchester City could be set to submit a significant offer to Inter for central defender Milan Skriniar according to a report from Spanish news outlet Don Balon.

The Citizens manager Pep Guardiola is a long term admirer of the Slovakian international and could have club bosses submit a €94 million bid for him, which would be a new transfer record for a defender.

Skriniar joined Inter back in the Summer of 2017 from fellow Serie A outfit Sampdoria and has went on to cement himself not only as one of the best defenders in Italy, but in all of world football during his time so far in the Nerazzurri shirt.

The 24-year-old has drawn links to City’s rivals Manchester United as well as reigning Spanish champions Barcelona in recent months too.

This season Skriniar has been an almost ever present feature in Inter manager Antonio Conte’s side. Skriniar has appeared in all barring one of Inter’s 28 games across all competitions to date. In 2357 minutes, he has provided one assist.
