In an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Genoa central midfielder Lasse Schone has shared his thoughts and feelings on his compatriot Christian Eriksen’s arrival in Serie A in the past few days.

Eriksen completed his much anticipated move to Inter on Tuesday afternoon from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and made his first appearance for the Nerazzurri last night as he came off the substitutes bench in the 2-1 win over Fiorentina at the quarter final stage of the Coppa Italia at San Siro.

Firstly Schone, who was a teammate of Eriksen’s at Ajax and in the Danish national team, spoke on the kind of player the 27-year-old is.

“He is a fantastic player, you just have look at his statistics in the Premier League. He is the number one for assists and for chances created. As I say, he is a fantastic player on the pitch and a good guy off it too,” he began.

He then revealed that he will be in touch with him to find out how he is settling in once things have calmed down a bit.

“I will call him next week when everything will be quieter. He thanked me for the welcome message and told me that he cannot wait to start. I wish him the best except for two games a year.”

In conclusion, he joked around about who was the better free kick taker between them: “He is very good at them but maybe I am better.”
