Inter and arch rivals Juventus are set to go toe to toe to sign Fiorentina midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli during the Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Inter have long been interested in signing the Italian international whilst Juventus interest in him has only become apparent more recently.

The 22-year-old, who is under contract with La Viola until the end of the 2023/24 season, has been one of the revelations of the season and is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the league at the moment.

Castrovilli is not the only player that the clubs are set to fight it out for either, the report from the Turin newspaper goes on to detail.

As per the report, both clubs have a strong interest in signing Brescia’s Sandro Tonali, who is one of the most promising Italian prospects out there at the moment.
