Real Madrid have sparked an interest in signing Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.

Los Blancos are set to rival their arch rivals Barcelona, who have a long standing interest, for the young Argentine international striker, who has been in fine form this season for the Nerazzurri.

As per the report, Real Madrid are ready to pay the 22-year-old’s €111 million release clause in his contract, which is only valid for the first two weeks of July.

Inter are yet to receive any official offers for Lautaro, who they signed from Racing Club in the Summer of 2018 and the report goes on to add that contract extension talks have been postponed.

This season Lautaro has developed a lethal strike partnership with Romelu Lukaku and has made 27 appearances across all competitions to date. In 2103 minutes on the field, he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.
